Born May 20, 1959 in the village of Zhana-Bazar, Leninsky district, South Kazakhstan region. In 1991 graduated from the History Department of Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov with a degree in historian. In 1994 graduated from graduate school. From 1994 to 1999 worked as a Junior Researcher, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Margulan. In 1995 he defended his thesis on the topic: "Medieval archaeological sites of the Keles Valley" under the guidance of academician K.M. Baipakov. As part of the SKCAE, he participated in excavations of medieval cities: Otyrar, Taraz, Sarashik, etc.
From 1999-2013 taught at the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov, associate professor of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnology. He taught courses "Archaeology of Kazakhstan," "Archaeology," "Medieval archaeology of Kazakhstan," "History of archaeology of Kazakhstan," "Archaeology of Central and Central Asia", "Archaeology of Foreign and Western Asia," etc. Since 2005, he has been researching medieval cities according to the state program "Cultural Heritage". Since 2008, he has been purposefully studying the cities of the Kazakh Khanate. He conducted archaeological excavations in the towns of Karaspantobe, Sauran, Sozak, Bozok, etc.
